Video Link Example

In a previous post, which I titled My Adidas, I linked to a clip from a documentary video about the relationship between rappers and sneakers called Just For Kicks -- RUN DMC. While I was watching this video, I noticed that You Tube suggests videos that you might like based on the one you are watching. That's how I found Just For Kicks -- Sneaker Collectors. What role do you think mass media played in this collector's fascination with shoes? He has so many!

Boys will be boys.

Here is the picture of my wife's friend's kids that I showed you in class today. I still can't believe this happened to her. It makes me glad that we are having a girl!

Have you ever been emailed a picture like this? Will you email it to your friends or family? This is a rudimentary example of user-created content. Some of the videos you will watch online this weekend may have been user-created. As we have discussed in class, this process is changing the very nature of mass media.

Human Story

In Korea, there is a documentary, named "human story", tells about lives of ordinary people. I watched about a husband and wife who haven't had their own babies but have adopted ten baies. They just want to help poor babies, so they are devolting their whole lives and give babies too much love. They live far away from other people in a church which is deep in the mountain area. They are not rich either! But they are very happy due to their family. When I watched if for the first time, actually I don't understand them because supporting babies is very difficult even thier own. I felt money is very important for living, but it is not everything. Many people are still dedicating many things for other people and society. So I hope that my life will be same as the people can make a beautiful environment for the future.
