AN AMERICAN ACTIVITY

In last quarter, a conversation partner of my friend invited me for a party that is opened by him in his place. I didn’t know what the party is because I had never experienced about that. In Korea, many young people have not been enjoying party in their house. I think that is just culture difference. Anyway I really wondered that, so I decided to go there. As I arrived there, I could not only meet many Americans but also many Asians. A strange and different thing is that a conversation partner of my friend didn’t know many people. The party members were often made of someone’s friend who didn’t know him, but all of them didn’t consider about that. They just enjoyed the party. I was surprised about that because I am more conservative than many people in this country. In Korea, if we are invited by some one for a party, we should go alone. Because If we don’t do that, that is impolite. Anyway, I enjoyed that party and experienced a part of American culture through that party. Have you ever heard this saying? “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
